Never have run into the lack of ingredients causing lack of flavor though. Even the Chinese give them a piece of tofu, a couple leaves of cabbage and an old bone and next you know a delicious soup. Come to think of it maybe that's why it tastes so good.somsaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04909697873563962415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34802782.post-12083796444317277942011-02-20T20:16:16.106-07:002011-02-20T20:16:16.106-07:00MSG is common used in southeast asia because the l...MSG is common used in southeast asia because the lack of the ingredients to balance the taste.
Everybody assumes a good amount of it on a daily basis. I was used to it when I lived back there, but now when I eat any food that has some of it, i feel a bit sleepy and sometimes light headache.

Intesting writing!vietfoodrecipeshttp://www.vietfoodrecipes.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34802782.post-27591000783516026202009-12-26T12:09:36.149-07:002009-12-26T12:09:36.149-07:00As always an excellent posting. The

(Me and every other animal on the face of the earth) Instead of blaming it on salt, or water, I simply donned a tinfoil hat! Now no allergy and I am saved from harmfull rays from cell phone towers, mind hypnosis from space aliens. Next I'll work on fluoride.somsaihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04909697873563962415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34802782.post-19245444851471643792008-03-30T08:25:00.000-07:002008-03-30T08:25:00.000-07:00I have noticed getting tired upon digesting food c...I have noticed getting tired upon digesting food containing MSG. This began when I moved to the Philippines 15 years ago. It took me about 3 years to figure out the cause. I used to think I was getting old and needed more energy to simply digest a meal. Then one day I came across an article on MSG sensitivity although no mention of sleepiness was made. It prompted me to discontinue it's use and thats when I discovered no more sleepiness after a meal.

VanceUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14341295015196510658noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34802782.post-14784688998560509472008-03-20T19:56:00.000-07:002008-03-20T19:56:00.000-07:00so MSG is not really bad for the health? i should ...so MSG is not really bad for the health? i should be old enough to look for studies on that but the big media scare when i was young (which i no longer clearly remember how) about MSG may somehow have stuck in me - but it never did prevented me from eating lao food with MSG (betsin as we call it).
i'm not quite sure if it's still psychosomatic but after eating food with MSG, i always get this feeling of wanting to sleep.arcibaldohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05505273662875763965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34802782.post-1542817202826434982008-02-19T09:21:00.000-07:002008-02-19T09:21:00.000-07:00Somsai, interesting.
